Find out about how to book registrars to attend your ceremony.

Before you can get married or register your civil partnership you and your partner must give notice by appointment.

Ceremonies are available at the Civic Hall between 9:15am and 4pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and up to 3:45pm on Saturdays. The basic ceremony is only held on the last Monday of each month excluding bank holidays.

​Ceremonies such as marriages, civil partnerships, renewal of vows and baby naming can be held at one of our many venues which have been licensed for that purpose.

Same-sex civil partners who formed their civil partnership in England or Wales can now convert their partnership into a marriage.

Naming ceremonies are a non-religious alternative to baptisms for families celebrating the birth of a new baby.

Leeds Register Office offers couples the chance to renew their marriage vows in a civil ceremony.

You do not need to book a ceremony yourself.
