Road safety

If you're part of a local community group, you could borrow a speed indicating device to use in your neighbourhood.

We collect information about road traffic collisions and use this to make our roads safer.

We provide training, advice and resources for schools in Leeds. We can also support you in looking at how to address specific road safety or pupil travel issues that affect your school.

The number of people killed or seriously injured on the roads in Leeds increased in 2022 following a reduction during the COVID pandemic, and a period of relative stability in the preceding years.
