Tree emergencies

Report a tree or branch that is causing immediate danger to the public or a property.

If a tree is causing an immediate danger to highway users, please call the Police on 999.

We provide a 24 hour emergency service. If a tree or branch is causing immediate danger to a person or property in a public space, call 0113 378 6002, 8am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3:30pm, Friday.

If the emergency is out of office hours, call 0113 376 0499.

You will need to provide:

  • the exact location of the tree or branch
  • a contact name and telephone number

We do not deal with trees on private land, unless it is causing an issue on publicly owned land.
