4. Planning application appeals

If you have been refused planning permission or conditions have been added to your application that you don't agree with, there are a few options for what to do next:

  • amend and re-submit your application. You can do this through the
    Planning Portal
  • appeal to the Planning Inspectorate within 12 weeks for householder applications and some minor commercial applications
  • appeal to the Planning Inspectorate within 6 months from the date of decision for all other types of application

Removal and variations of conditions

If you have had conditions applied to your application you may wish to apply for a removal or variation to the conditions. You can complete an online application on the Planning Portal. external link.
