We use the data you provide to check that your street is suitable for a play street and that it can be closed safely. We use your data to communicate any important information regarding your play street and to offer support with the process. We use your data to assess the quality of our service and to monitor and report on the impact of play streets. We may share anonymised data to contribute to relevant research conducted by trusted partners. 

The council's Highways and Transportation service are using a sensor system which is designed to allow traffic signal optimisation based on minimising person delay, as opposed to the conventional method of minimising vehicle delay.
