School transport

We offer travel support to children attending their nearest qualifying school if it’s over the walking distance set out by the Children's Transport Policy.

We offer home to school travel support for children and young people who have SEND, disabilities or medical conditions.

We help children and young people and children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to travel independently to school or college. 

1.1 The policy applies to all new applications for assistance with transport for all children and young people, received on or after the 1 December 2015. It extends to full-time post-sixteen students who have a recognised learning difficulty or disability.
