Our financial strategy is helping us become more financially sustainable and resilient, safeguarding public funds whilst achieving value for money.

As we emerge from the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is important that we put the right framework in place to support the continued delivery of services to the most vulnerable, support the growth and transformation of our neighbourhoods and the city centre, and ensure that the Council is in a strong position to support the City and its people.

The strategy has been written following extensive consultation and engagement that included thirteen workshops covering wide-ranging areas such as digital ethics, business and economy, and primary and social care.

We know that some of our communities have poorer outcomes than others and this affects them individually as well as the city as a whole. It is important for everyone to benefit from being part of a strong economy and our focus on a compassionate city approach will help us do this.

Our ambition is that by 2040 no one will be killed or suffer serious injuries on roads in Leeds.

Welcome to the Leeds Domestic Violence and Abuse Strategy. Domestic violence and abuse is a serious and prevalent issue, both nationally and here in Leeds. It has a drastic, negative, and long-lasting impact upon the safety, health and wider life chances of individuals, children, and families, and creates wider crises such as homelessness and financial exclusion.

It is the ambition of Leeds, set out in the Vision for Leeds 2011 to 2030, to make sure all homes in the city are of a decent standard and that everyone can afford to stay warm.
