We are responsible for producing a Local Plan which guides future growth in Leeds. This helps us decide where and when development takes place.

Adopted Local Plan

The Adopted Local Plan forms part of the statutory development plan for the Leeds district. It sets out the council's vision and strategy for the area until 2033, and provides the basis for decisions on planning applications.

Emerging Local Plan

Community Infrastructure Levy adoption

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) was adopted by Full Council on 12 November 2014, and the charges were implemented across Leeds from 6 April 2015. The associated CIL policies were approved by Executive Board on 17 September 2014.
